Caleb Thomas

The primary aim of Caleb's project is to create an accurate and efficient method for predicting the binding affinity constant of an arbitrary protein-ligand pair in silico, through the use of modern deep learning techniques. Protein-ligand binding refers to the formation of a complex between a protein and a small organic molecule, and is an extremely important process in biochemistry, pharmacology, and countless other domains of biological science.  If successful, this computational method will have great practical utility toward drug development, in particular, virtual screening for drug repurposing.
